Getting to know me

At a young age I was always intrigued cameras. I grew up at home during the summer with my two older brothers where we had to get creative with passing time throughout the day while our parents were at work. So we turned to making videos and posting them to youtube. These times were some of my most cherished memories. As I got older and graduated from highschool I didn’t know what I wanted to go into as a career path. So I went on a 6 month long mission trip where I ended up spending half the time in the beautiful country of Thailand. Where I discovered two passions, teaching and photography.

Photography is so much more than a click of a button for me, as I began to discover the art of it the more and more I began to realize that it takes a trained eye. I began to see the world differently. Walking down the street or going for a drive changed my thoughts to what can I do to create something creative with what I am seeing? What angle could a do to make this image more unique? As soon as I had this mindset, I began to create images that were more impactful. I love to try and set myself apart from other photographers In this way. One of my favorite ways of doing this is using my passion of photography to capture other peoples passions. One example that comes to mind is a photoshoot I had with a fisherman…seems simple enough, except this photoshoot was a 30 mile trek carrying my gear, crossing through rivers trying not to slip and destroy my gear. To continue and climb up jagged boulders to a lake that some-people would dream to go to. Even though this trip was very vigorous, it is by far one of my favorite photoshoots and I will never forget it. So if you want to have a photoshoot that you can look back on and cherish, I would love to work with you!
